I received this scam in my email this evening. I am sharing this as a warning to those of you who receive it. I thought that it was a nice tough running a scam about “the eradication of fraudsters and scam Artists in Africa”. There is a lot wrong with this email (such as I am being compensated when I have never been the victim of such a scam. One easy way to tell that this is a fraud is to look at the email address. Always ignore what comes before the @ sign. unitednationsorg.un looks nice, but tells you nothing. If I created an email address unitednationsorg.un@attorneyhaskell.com, it would come to me, because I ownattorneyhaskell.com. This scammer is kind enough to tell us that the UN’s website is unitednations.org(which is not true. It is actually UN.org). For the email to be internally consistent, it should want me to email someone whose address is @unitednations.org. Any actual email to a UN official would have an @un.orgending. They want me to send my personal information to an @europe.com email address. No governmental or nonprofit organization has a .com address. Europe.com is an undeveloped site with links to European travel sites.
