I am comfortable offering discounts against other tax preparers, because, as so many of my previous FaceBook posts show, I am already charging less, usually a lot less, than they are. My earlier flyer (also posted on FaceBook)offers to discount my fee for new tax clients, but this one is offering to go below the fee of whoever did it last year (other than myself of course). In this way, anyone who comes to see me will know that they are getting a better deal. For people transferring to us from Liberty Tax Service or H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt or any CPA, I am not offering merely a $10 discount, but 50% off of their fee instead(just bring your receipt and a copy of last year’s tax form). Mine will still be less in most cases.
